SPEEDEE 1959 MCDONALD’S Hamburgers First Logo Tin Metal Litho Pinback Button
McDonald’s Hamburgers’ pinback “I’m Speedee” is a 1959 tin metal litho pinback that shows the Illinois fast food chain’s first advertising character, Speedee. Text reads, “I’m Speedee,” and is printed in red on a bright yellow background.
This advertising button was created in 1959 to promote the fast service that customers could expect at McDonald’s Hamburger Restaurants. The McDonald’s Corp., founded by Ray Kroc, introduced the character in 1955 as their company logo, then promoted products with Speedee until it was retired in 1962.
This button measures 1 ½ inches in diameter and is in fair condition. This is an extremely scarce piece of McDonald’s advertising memorabilia so grab it while it’s still available!
