In 1956, BIG BOY RESTAURANTS began giving free promotional comic books to children. Issue #263 (March, 1979) features a colorful Coca-Cola ad, and has the theme of New York City, the Guggenheim Museum, and “Roots.”
Artwork is by artists who later worked at Marvel Comics and Archie Series. ADVENTURES OF THE BIG BOY shows the Big Boy, Dolly, and Nuggets characters in a comic strip, plus stories, and an activity. Full color newsprint, 7 in. x 10 in.
Very good vintage condition with no folds or marks. One inch tear on front cover; edges show slight wear.
