IN-N-OUT BURGER Bumper Sticker “Quality You Can Taste” Discontinued Vintage – $2.95 – Sold Out

Vintage “IN-N-OUT BURGER” BUMPER STICKER, with the advertising slogan, “Quality You Can Taste” in their signature red and yellow classic restaurant colors. The fast-food chain offered this free bumper sticker as a promotional item at many of their locations. However, in the early 1970’s, the In-N-Out Burger chain bumper sticker cooked up some unwanted controversy when folks began cutting out the “B” and the “R,” thus modifying the word “BURGER” to “URGE.”

Did Alex, from “A Clockwork Orange,” who said, “No time for the old ‘in-out, in-out’, I’m just here to read the meter,” have anything to do with this?

We don’t know, but what we do know is that the conservative Christian family owned and operated iconic hamburger chain (known for including snippets of Scripture printed on their cups and containers) responded by eliminating the word “Burger” from its name. It was simply renamed, “In-N-Out,” as it continues to be known today.

The bumper sticker measures about 12 inches x 3 inches; it is in excellent, unused condition.
